About AKC
29 years of CBSE coaching in Paschim Vihar, West Delhi — small batches, founder-led, and still growing the same way we started: one student at a time.
Our Story
In 1997, Ajay Kataria Classes (AKC) started teaching a single batch of students out of a small room in Paschim Vihar. There was no branding, no marketing budget, no website — just a teacher who believed that any student could get comfortable with Mathematics or Accountancy if someone took the time to explain it properly, at their own pace, in a room small enough that no one could hide at the back.
Twenty-nine years later, that one batch has grown into Ajay Kataria Classes — a name West Delhi families have passed on to their neighbours, and now to their children’s children. But the room is still small on purpose. We coach Classes 1 to 7 Foundation Tuition and 8 to 10 in Mathematics and Science, and Classes 11 and 12 in Commerce, and every batch is still capped for the same reason it was in 1997: a teacher who can’t see a struggling student can’t help them.
Over 29 years, almost every new family at AKC has come through a referral from another parent — not an advertisement.
Ajay Kataria Classes Mission & Core Values
Ajay Kataria Classes mission is simple: give every student in West Delhi the kind of personal attention that turns a struggling subject into a strong one — through small batches, honest feedback, and teaching that starts with understanding, not memorisation.
Foundation First
We fix the gap before we chase the marks. Understanding comes before formulas and shortcuts.
Real Attention, By Design
Batches are capped deliberately — small enough that no student is invisible.
Honesty With Parents
You hear the truth from us about your child's progress, even when it's an uncomfortable conversation.
Consistency Through Testing
Weekly, board-format, checked with feedback — every single week, not just before exams.
A Message From The Founder Of Ajay Kataria Classes
Hi, I'm Ajay Kataria (M.A Eco, Ex. Faculty Delhi University)
When I started Ajay Kataria Classes in 1997, I made one promise to myself: I would teach every batch personally, and I would keep it small enough to keep that promise.
Twenty-nine years and thousands of students later, that promise hasn’t changed — even as the syllabus, the board exam pattern, and the pressure on students have. My job isn’t just to get your child through an exam. It’s to make sure they still understand the subject long after the exam is over.
