Coaching Classes in West Delhi, Teaching Paschim Vihar Since 1997
If you are looking for coaching classes in West Delhi where your child gets real attention instead of a seat in a crowded hall, you have found the right place.
AKC has been teaching CBSE students in Paschim Vihar since 1997. That is 29 years in the same neighbourhood, teaching the children — and now the grandchildren — of the same families. We are not a franchise. We are not a chain. We are a coaching institute run by the teacher whose name is on the board.
We coach Classes 1 to 7 Foundation Tuition and 8 to 10 in Mathematics and Science, and Classes 11 and 12 in Commerce — Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies and Mathematics.
Most parents come to us with the same sentence: “He was doing fine till Class 9, and then the marks started falling.” That is usually not a talent problem. It is a foundation problem. Somewhere a concept was left half-understood, the syllabus moved on, and the gap kept widening. Our entire method is built around finding that gap and closing it.
Why Parents in West Delhi Choose Ajay Kataria Classes
There are dozens of coaching classes in West Delhi, and from the outside most of them look identical. Choosing coaching classes in West Delhi really comes down to six things — and only one of them is the fee.
29 years in one place
An institute that survives in the same locality since 1997 does not survive on advertising. It survives on results and word of mouth. Ask around Guru Harkishan Nagar — someone in the building has studied here.
Small batches, by design
We cap our batches deliberately. A teacher can track 15 students. A teacher cannot track 60. If your child stops raising his hand, we notice the same week — not at the end of term.
Taught by the founder, not rotating staff
Ajay Kataria personally teaches. In most coaching institutes the senior teacher takes the demo class, and a junior takes the actual batch. That does not happen here.
We fix the foundation before we chase marks
A Class 11 student weak in Class 10 algebra will struggle in Accountancy ratios. We go back and repair the base, even if it costs us two weeks. Marks follow understanding.
Parents get told the truth
If your child is not working, you will hear it from us early and directly. We would rather have an uncomfortable conversation in August than an unhappy one in March.
Weekly tests, and they are actually checked
Every week, on paper, in board format. Checked with comments, returned, and gone through in class. Testing without feedback is just paperwork.
Our Coaching Programs — Class 1st to Class 12th
A strong foundation is the biggest gift you can give your child before they reach the board-exam years. Our Class 1 to 7 tuition classes in Paschim Vihar focus on building solid basics in Maths, Science, and English — the three subjects that shape every child’s confidence in higher classes. We follow the same teaching philosophy that has worked for our senior students for over 27 years: concept clarity first, regular practice, and honest, personalized feedback for every child. Small-batch attention at this stage helps identify and fix learning gaps early — long before they become bigger problems in Class 8 and beyond.
Maths — Strong number sense, problem-solving, and step-by-step concept building
Science — Curiosity-driven learning with simple, relatable explanations
English — Grammar, comprehension, and writing skills built the right way
(Ideal for parents searching for reliable primary class tuition near SS Mota Singh School, Paschim Vihar.)
These are the years a student either starts enjoying Science or starts fearing it — and that usually comes down to how it’s taught, not the subject itself.
Our Science coaching covers Physics, Chemistry and Biology as per the CBSE structure, with numerical practice, diagram accuracy, and the competency-based questions CBSE now weights heavily. Concepts are taught with demonstrations and everyday examples first, formulas second — so a student understands why an answer is correct, not just how to arrive at it.
Every batch works through NCERT exercises, previous years’ board papers, CBSE sample papers and full-length mock exams before the boards, with Class 8 focused on building the foundation and Class 9-10 focused on board readiness.
These are the years that decide everything that comes after. Class 9 quietly builds the foundation for the Class 10 board syllabus, and Class 10 Maths becomes the base for both Commerce and Science streams in Class 11 — a weak foundation here doesn’t just cost marks now, it costs confidence for the next four years.
Our Mathematics coaching covers the full NCERT syllabus with heavy problem practice — algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration, statistics and probability. We drill the chapters that historically carry the most board weightage, and we teach students how to present a solution properly on paper, so they stop losing marks on steps they actually knew.
Every batch works through NCERT exercises, previous years’ board papers, CBSE sample papers and full-length mock exams before the boards — so exam pressure is never a surprise on the actual day.
This is where we are strongest, and it is where most students in West Delhi struggle the most.
Accountancy coaching. Class 11 Accountancy is the single biggest shock in the commerce stream. Students come from a Class 10 background with no exposure to journal entries, ledgers or the accounting equation, and within six weeks they are lost. Our accounts coaching classes start from absolute zero — the logic of debit and credit before any format is memorised. We cover Partnership Accounts, Company Accounts, Financial Statements, Cash Flow Statement and Analysis of Financial Statements with the practical-question depth the board actually asks.
Economics. Both halves — Microeconomics and Macroeconomics in Class 12, Statistics and Indian Economic Development in Class 11. Taught with diagrams, current Indian examples and a firm focus on the numerical and graph-based questions that decide the top band of marks.
Business Studies. The subject students assume is easy and then score 68 in. The problem is never knowledge; it is answer structure and keyword usage. We train exact board-style answer writing, case-study handling and the marking-scheme keywords examiners look for.
Mathematics (Class 11–12). For commerce students taking Maths, including Applied Mathematics — sets, relations, calculus, probability, linear programming and the applied topics.

How We Teach: The AKC Method
Step 1 — We find out where the child actually stands
Before a student joins a batch, we assess the real level. Not the report card. The actual gaps.
Step 2 — Concept first, in plain language
Every topic is taught from the ground up before any formula or format appears. If a student cannot explain it back in their own words, we have not finished teaching it.
Step 3 — Guided practice in class
The first questions are solved together, on the board, with the class thinking out loud. Silent copying teaches nothing.
Step 4 — Independent practice with checked homework
Assignments are collected and checked. Not glanced at — checked.
Step 5 — Weekly testing in board format
Same paper pattern, same time limit, same marking scheme. By March, the board exam feels like the 30th test, not the first.
Step 6 — Doubt sessions that are actually available
Extra doubt clearing before tests and boards, including sessions outside regular batch timing when students need them.
Step 7 — Regular parent updates
You will know how your child is doing without having to ask twice.
The New CBSE Two-Attempt Board System — What Every Class 9 & 10 Parent Must Know
This is the biggest change to Class 10 in years, and most parents in West Delhi still have it wrong. Here is the clear version.
CBSE now conducts the Class 10 board examination in two phases in the same academic year.
- Phase 1 is held in February and is mandatory for every student.
- Phase 2 is held in May and is optional — for students who want to improve their score.
- You cannot skip February — direct entry into the May exam is not allowed.
- Improvement is capped at three subjects (Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Languages).
- A student who fails one or two subjects can clear them in May; three or more must wait for the next main exam.
- 75% attendance and completed internal assessments are required to be eligible for the board exam.
What this actually means for your child, in practice:
The second attempt is a safety net. It is not a strategy. Every year we meet students who plan to “take it easy in February and improve in May” — and they lose the two months between the two exams doing damage control instead of moving ahead.
There is also a scheduling consequence nobody talks about. If your child sits Phase 2 in May, that is exactly when the Class 11 session normally begins. A student improving in May starts Class 11 already behind — and in Commerce, being behind in the first month of Accountancy is very hard to recover from.
Our position is straightforward: prepare so that February is enough. Treat May as insurance you hopefully never claim.

Results That Speak
At AKC, our focus goes beyond completing the syllabus — we focus on building strong concepts that lead to strong academic performance. With the right guidance, regular tests, doubt-solving sessions, small batch sizes, and individual attention, students are encouraged to learn with confidence and perform at their best. Our consistent approach to teaching and student development is reflected in the progress and results achieved by our students year after year.

What is the new CBSE two-attempt board exam system?
CBSE now holds the Class 10 board exam in two phases. Phase 1 in February is mandatory for every student. Phase 2 in May is optional and allows improvement in up to three main subjects. Students cannot enter the May exam directly without appearing in February. A minimum of 75% attendance and completed internal assessments are required to be eligible.
Should my child plan to use the second attempt in May?
We advise preparing fully for February. The May attempt is a safety net, not a plan — and sitting it overlaps with the start of the Class 11 session, which puts students behind from day one.
Do parents get updates about their child's progress?
Yes. We share test performance and attendance updates regularly, and we tell you early and honestly if there is a problem.
Is coaching really necessary for Class 12 Commerce?
Not for every student. It matters most where school teaching is rushed or the class is large — which is common in Accountancy and Economics, where board answers demand a specific structure and depth that school revision often does not cover.
How do I take admission?
Call or WhatsApp 098101 38887, attend a free demo class, then confirm your batch. Admission is open for the current session.
Do you offer online classes?
Our teaching is classroom-based in Paschim Vihar. Call us to discuss options if attending in person is difficult.
