Ajay Kataria Classes has been teaching CBSE students in Paschim Vihar since 1997. That is 28 years in the same neighbourhood, teaching the children — and now the grandchildren — of the same families. We coach Classes 8, 9 and 10 in Mathematics and Science, and Classes 11 and 12 in Commerce — Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies and Mathematics.

Somewhere a concept was left half-understood, the syllabus moved on, and the gap kept widening. Our entire method is built around finding that gap and closing it.

A Class 11 student weak in Class 10 algebra will struggle in Accountancy ratios. We go back and repair the base, even if it costs us two weeks. Marks follow understanding.

These are the years that decide everything that comes after. Class 9 quietly builds the foundation for the Class 10 board syllabus, and Class 10 Maths becomes the base for both Commerce and Science streams in Class 11.
Mathematics coaching covers the full NCERT syllabus with heavy problem practice — algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration, statistics and probability. We drill the chapters that historically carry the most board weightage, and we teach students how to present a solution so they stop losing marks on steps they actually knew.
Science coaching covers Physics, Chemistry and Biology as per the CBSE structure, with numerical practice, diagram accuracy and the competency-based questions CBSE now weights heavily. Concepts are taught with demonstrations and everyday examples first, formulas second.
Both include NCERT exercises, previous years’ board papers, CBSE sample papers and full-length mock exams before the boards.
This is where we are strongest, and it is where most students in West Delhi struggle the most.
Accountancy coaching. Class 11 Accountancy is the single biggest shock in the commerce stream. Students come from a Class 10 background with no exposure to journal entries, ledgers or the accounting equation, and within six weeks they are lost. Our accounts coaching classes start from absolute zero — the logic of debit and credit before any format is memorised. We cover Partnership Accounts, Company Accounts, Financial Statements, Cash Flow Statement and Analysis of Financial Statements with the practical-question depth the board actually asks.
Economics. Both halves — Microeconomics and Macroeconomics in Class 12, Statistics and Indian Economic Development in Class 11. Taught with diagrams, current Indian examples and a firm focus on the numerical and graph-based questions that decide the top band of marks.
Business Studies. The subject students assume is easy and then score 68 in. The problem is never knowledge; it is answer structure and keyword usage. We train exact board-style answer writing, case-study handling and the marking-scheme keywords examiners look for.
Mathematics (Class 11–12). For commerce students taking Maths, including Applied Mathematics — sets, relations, calculus, probability, linear programming and the applied topics.

CBSE now conducts the Class 10 board examination in two phases in the same academic year.
What this actually means for your child, in practice:
The second attempt is a safety net. It is not a strategy. Every year we meet students who plan to “take it easy in February and improve in May” — and they lose the two months between the two exams doing damage control instead of moving ahead.
There is also a scheduling consequence nobody talks about. If your child sits Phase 2 in May, that is exactly when the Class 11 session normally begins. A student improving in May starts Class 11 already behind — and in Commerce, being behind in the first month of Accountancy is very hard to recover from.
Our position is straightforward: prepare so that February is enough. Treat May as insurance you hopefully never claim.
